More Instant Buzz Tips

I discovered another important tip when using Instant Buzz.

For the past couple of days I had been using Instant Buzz’s Mail Space Ads. They automatically insert little text ads into the top of your email messages. I send a lot of email so this seemed like a pretty easy way to get more advertising credits. Then I discovered a major problem!

If you use their Mail Space Ads most email programs will see your email as being spam! I had a couple of different email servers block my email messages! I was curious what was happening so I turned off mail space ads, and my email went through normally! I tried it with Yahoo too so I could see my spam folder. Sure enough my email from my normal address went into my yahoo spam folder. I turned off Mail Space Ads and my email went through fine. It was not labeled as spam.

If you have turned on Mail Space Ads, you can turn them off by left clicking on the instant buzz icon in your browser, and go to preferences. There you’ll find a checkbox for Mail Space Ads.

Another thing I figured out is that the Firefox version of Instant Buzz is still in beta test. Sometimes you might see the Instant Buzz ads say “Loading”. According to the support forum this usually fixes itself within a day or two, just be patient.

As you know from my article yesterday Paulie and Donna are two of the testimonials on the Instant Buzz web site. Paulie is a long time friend of mine. He interviewed me for one of his conference calls. He is also a customer of mine in two of my businesses and I’ve met him in person. I’m going to see if we can tap Paulie’s knowledge base a little bit and see if we can find out some of the secrets to using Instant Buzz.
