Are you an Event Promoter?
Dear readers,
Are you an Event Promoter?
Events drive your MLM business. Getting people to an event instills in them the passion of the business. Getting them to an event introduces them to other leaders. Getting them to an event allows them to see people who are living the lifestyle they dream about. Getting them to an event shows them hundreds, or thousands, or tens of thousands of like minded people.
Knowing how important events are… As a leader you have to be an event promoter. You’ve got to promote those events. You’ve got to make them seem exciting and fun. You’ve got to share with people the value of the event so they know they need to attend it.
If you have a weekly conference call or newsletter you need to mention the events every time. It almost needs to be redundant. You can’t just mention the event once. You need to repeat it over and over. Some people won’t be on the call. Some people need the repetition to encourage them to take advantage of it.
We just had our convention and had 170+ team members in attendance. One of my team even won a private plane ride to Vegas with the CEO and a couple other top money earners from the company. Imagine what that is going to do for her business? What if she hadn’t attended convention? She wouldn’t have had the chance to win that prize!
I’ve had people come back and immediately get to work. Setting 10 appointments. Going after the prospects that we call the “oh shit list”. Sorry for swearing but it’s true. You know the list of people you’re afraid to approach? The top prospects on your list. The business leader you’re afraid will turn you down. These people are excited because they attended the VIP dinner with us. They met the top money earner. (I’m only #27 not #1) They met the CEO. They met like minded people. They know it is possible. They know they can achieve their dreams. So now they are out there working it!
Also remember to make it fun. Take pictures. Invite team members to share their stories from the event. A lot of your team will be excited by the “fun” aspect, even if they aren’t fully invested in the business yet. Getting them to come and experience the fun may expose them to the “business” side of things and get them to take their business more seriously.
Are you an event promoter? If not, you should be!
