What do you say to a Send Out Cards prospect?

What I found going out door to door talking to business owners with my dad last week…

We had our best reactions when we asked questions.

When we asked: What do you do to communicate with your customers? Do you send follow up or thank yous?

When we asked questions like that we got them to start talking and we could figure out what to say. I could actually answer questions or speak to specifics.

I was in a bed and breakfast and he said his wife sends out cards to the customers who are repeat business. Thats only 100 out of 1200 customers! So they ignore the other 1100 people unless they come back to visit the B&B. Of course they might not come back because they never got a thank you or follow up card!

It became really simple to talk to them just because I asked them a question.

Does that make sense?

PS. I still find Send Out Cards extremely easy to talk to people about. I have a MUCH higher success rate than selling phone services. It still takes work and you have to talk to several people to find one person that is interested, but our product is so unique that it is generally a lot easier to find someone interested.
