Watch out for the MLM fakes!
If you’ve been doing MLM and Network Marketing for awhile you’ve probably heard of the phrase “fake it till you make it“.
Unfortunately there’s a little bit too much of that going on!
There are too many MLM fakes out there!
People who represent themselves as being wealthy and making a lot of money in MLM yet… their spouse is supporting them, they’re barely breaking even, etc.
Did you know for example you can spend a few hundred bucks and rent a luxury car?
A Mercedes SL600 Roadster or BMW 650i is only $299 for a 24 hour rental. You can rent a Porsche 911 for only $359.
Lamborghini and Ferrari rentals start at $599 for a 6 hour rental.
Why am I mentioning this? Well when you see a picture of some guy you’ve never heard of before talking about how he is a MLM big shot and he’s in front of a fancy car… is it real? Maybe it is… Maybe it is a fake. You have to be careful.
I know people who are faking it right now. They’re even being recognized as being gurus and experts but in reality they are just good at marketing. They aren’t really full-timers. If they weren’t married and living off their spouse’s income they wouldn’t be able to do it. They wouldn’t be able to support themselves.
Another friend of mine told me about people who knew who would rent a sportscar or a luxury house in Vegas for a week and take their photos there. It looks like they’re a millionaire but in reality they only spent a couple grand on a rental.
I’m not saying you shouldn’t try to motivate yourself and your subconscious by faking it til you make it.
I’m just suggesting you do your research before joining a “leader” or before dropping $500 on the latest guru training course. Heck a few gurus I know made their name pre-internet. They have no idea how to market their MLM business on the internet. Do you really want to buy a $500 product from them ?
Just saying…

Very interesting post. I also feel the need to watch out for the fake leaders. They all say you need to posture yourself and provide value to your customers inorder to attract people to you business. I don’t think I have heard of faking your earnings to gain a following. It is always best to provide real tools that are duplicatable, so your downline can be as successful as you. If they aren’t then they will leave you for someone that can show them how. It’s relationships, not cars and houses.
