Sex, MLM, and your business!

What does your network marketing business have to do with sex?

More than you know!

Sex can ruin your MLM.

Sex can destroy your downline!

I don’t mean MLM sex toy parties… that’s a different animal entirely.

What I mean is dating or having sex with people in your downline or upline.

I am single and I was having a conversation with another single friend from my network marketing business the other day. He has been known to “date” his own team.

I warned him about having sex with his team members. Why?

Sex brings up personal feelings and emotions. This can cause major friction in your organization.

I’ve seen people who dated their team members. They even began an exclusive relationship.

But what happens when they break up? Does the break up go smoothly? Does the break up go badly? How does this effect the business?

What if that was a leader in your organization? Now you feel awkward to be around that person and your new significant other is jealous and doesn’t want you seeing them or spending time on the phone with them. What if that leader quits or leaves to join another company because of this?

And I won’t even mention the possibility of infedility.

The best policy in my opinion is to NOT date or have sex with people in your network marketing business.

We have a phrase for this. It is called downline integrity.

Downline integrity is usually reserved for things like no promoting junk programs or selling stuff to your team. I would like to add that it could be applied to dating or having sex with members of your team as well.

Business is business. Business shouldn’t be personal. If you mix the two then you bring up all these other personal feelings and emotions that can get in the way of your business.

That isn’t to say that you can’t date someone and eventually sponsor them into your business. You certainly could but again you still have to deal with the issues of the potential nasty break up.

Here is an example of how to behave:

We just won an incentive trip. My buddy and I each had guest tickets to invite.
We both invited females to be our guests that were not our partners. One of these females was even happily married. They were leaders in our organization that we thought deserved to go on the trip with us.
I gave up my room to the two females to room together. My buddy and I took his room.
That way there would be no hanky panky and we maintain that downline integrity.
