As a Network Marketing Professional Should You Try to Please Everyone?
One of the issues of being a network marketing professional is we are building TEAMS of PEOPLE. The bigger your team the more people involved.
Are you a people please?
Do you try to please everyone on your team?
Do you try to please yourself and not worry about what others think?
Do you try to find some sort of middle ground?
As a leader of a large team of people I know it is impossible to please everyone. Yet some people on my team including other leaders of my team are people pleasers. I frequently get emails or phone calls asking me why I said something on the internet. Some chicken got their feathers ruffled up because I actually had an opinion on a subject!
Yes I called them CHICKENS. That’s what they are. Eagles soar, they always focus on their goals. They don’t pay attention to the chickens that can’t fly. If the eagle listened to the chickens they’d never get off the ground much less soar to 10,000+ feet.
If you try to please everyone you only make yourself unhappy. If you feel like you have to hold back to please people then you are only hurting yourself. When you have a large team, no matter what, you can never please everyone! One thing you can do however is make yourself happy. Always do what makes yourself happy. Never feel like you have to pull punches or hide who you really are to please people on your team.
I’d much rather be myself and find a few people I really enjoy working with who share a lot of the same beliefs, than try and please a bunch of people who don’t share the same beliefs as me! I will be much happier as a result. Those people will also be happier working with me. They’ll also be attracted to someone that knows what they believe and acts on it. I’ll actually build a faster business as a result.
If I start being false in order to please people, then is it really helping anyone?
I’d love to hear your comments.
I’m sure to ruffle a few feathers.
If you are a people pleaser, that’s ok. But don’t expect me to behave differently or lie to myself about who I am as a person to please you or anyone else.

So true, people may not notice but they’re actually dealing with something that is not helpful. Same as don’t roar like Sheep if you can roar like a Lion.
