I guess I should have written about this sooner. LOL.

I started getting some mysterious clicks to my blog from posts about something called 2000 bloggers.

I was like. WTF is this?

It turns out Tino decided to create this site called 2000 bloggers (big download) to link to 2000 different blogs. He knew he couldn’t link to them all and he figured, 2000 sounds good, and looks good on the screen. All 2000 bloggers had to have photos on their blog because he put their photos on the page.

I happen to have both a Technorati and MyBlogLog profile so apparently that’s how Tino picked me up. I’m not sure how he picked me up since I’m a B List blogger. I actually was a C List blogger before 2000 bloggers happened So the point is I’m not sure how Tino knew about my blog. BUT if you’ve been reading me write about social networking like MyBlogLog and haven’t done anything with it, you should! LOL.

I actually ended up on the original posting in the first or second row depending on how wide your screen is setup. I also had a yellow background so it kinda made my picture stand out. Fortuitous!

So the 2000 bloggers project has become pretty interesting. There is a discussion about putting our group photo on the cover of an upcoming book by Joseph Jaffe.

There’s also an entire social experiment going on tracking the results of 2000 bloggers. Steve asks you to post about what attracts you to click on one bloggers photo over another. It’s a pretty interesting read. Heck something as simple as fixing up your photo might help you get more clicks? Crazy, but interesting.

I also found this… a Geographical Map of the 2000 bloggers. Pretty interesting to see where we are all spread out at.

Maybe when I have time I’ll try and track how many hits I can associate with being a part of 2000 bloggers.
