So you’ve got an ebook or special report or perhaps just a new web site you want to launch. Here is some prelaunch ideas for you. You may know this already but I’m going to show you one of the ways I build a prelaunch list AND find out what topics people want me to cover in my ebook.

I got this idea to do this quick product and sell it $7 secrets style. So this is what I did.

1. I went to my AskDatabase account and created a new poll. This is a tool to generate polls for me and it saves the data, allows me to export the data, search the data, and even have the person taking the poll opt in to a mailing list.

2. I created a web page for the poll

3. I created a simple squeeze page people will get to when they complete the poll. This registers them for my prelaunch list.

4. I created a thank you page so that I offer them a free download which also has affiliate links in it

Then I went out and posted some messages about my “poll” on some forums and a few days ago I posted about it on my blog, sent it out to my mailing list, etc.

The only place I cut a corner on was I should have 2 thank you pages.

One for filling out the autoresponder form.
One for when they actually confirm their email address.

I could theoretically promote two different products if I did it that way. Instead I used the same thank you page for both.

This whole process took me like half an hour, maybe an hour at most?

It gives me content for my product, because I can answer the questions they ask in the poll.
It gives me a prelaunch list of people already interested in the topic.
It gives me a chance to sell an additional product on the thank you pages.

Pretty easy to do and very powerful!
