Second Life - How to Make Money in the Virtual World?
One thing I can’t figure out about second life is how the hell are you supposed to make money in it?
I watched a one hour demonstration today including demos of some companies, colleges, etc. using Second Life. Most of them were either there to build their brand and interact with users OR to sell stuff. In some cases selling stuff was just a way to help build their brand cool factor (Like Scion cars) [Toyota Scion SLURL.]
So what if you don’t want to sell items online? What if I don’t want to sell cars, clothing, or jewlery in Second Life? How do you the business owner make money in there?
One thing I have seen that does look promising is teaching in Second Life. Companies like onsite videos are charging $999 for your video avatar to appear on a web site. However in second life you can get your own office space much cheaper and can have your avatar in Second Life presenting power point even with full audio. Several Universities are using these virtual class rooms. One University I talked to is paying $400 a year for their Second Life presence. Compare this to a $999 one minute video for your web site.
Perhaps Second Life does have some potential.
I’ll do more investigating and write as I continue to learn about Second Life.

You should check out what a group of non-profits are engaged in on Second Life.
[Full Disclosure--I am the representative of one of those non-profits]
This group, with help from Anshe Chung Studios, have created a non-profit common area and offices for a myriad of different non-profits, some well known and some lesser known.
A web site documenting some of the experiences of this non-profit collective can be found at:

Thanks for your insights into network marketing. I do believe in network marketing but you need to have determination and persistence.
I guess you must be doing very well in network marketing.
How about the missing ingredient that can help you and your downlines to further achieve extraordinary goals?
I read this fantastic interview by Bob Proctor and is totaly amazed by it.
You and your downlines will probably wanna take a look to. Bob Proctor is the best, if not one of the best in this area.

Contrary to popular belief, Network Marketing is a cut throat industry. In SecondLife if you don’t want to sell products you’ve made, try land. It’s relatively cheap and you can do one of two things. Rent out commercial or residential properties (yes…people do rent this) or go into buying low and selling high. The biggest profit in SL is land. I’m dabbling into this now and have made more money than I ever did in NWM.
