Network Marketing & MLM Training by Home Business Blogs

What would you do if your favorite generic MLM Trainer started her own MLM company?

What would you do if you were a network marketer…

And you recommended a “generic” MLM trainer to your team. Someone who hosts coaching and teaches all MLMers how to succeed at MLM?

What would you do if that expert went out and launched her own MLM and started recruiting from the list of people you helped her build?

Who am I talking about? Kim Klaver (and link 2) is an awesome network marketing trainer and the author of several good books and cd programs. I’ve recommended her for years and I’m even on her mailing list.

However… She’s now writing about this new network marketing company she started. In fact she now mentions it quite often in her training materials and on her blog. Effectively for years we’ve helped Kim build her mailing list by recommending people to her and now she’s targetting them to join her.

What do you think about this? Would you recommend Kim Klaver in the future knowing that she is starting her own MLM?

Leave me a comment here and let me know what you think.

Hi Ben,

I have to agree. I have been a big fan of Kim’s for some time and even thought it was ok that she mentioned her new program a couple of times for educational purposes. However, she’s gone way overboard and, even though she says she is very selective in who she’s allowing to join, it still leaves a bad taste.

What to do? It’s too bad but I can’t say I’ll be recommending her products anymore.

wow, this is the first I had heard of this but I see your point. I still think her trainings from the past are good but I’m not sure I would recommend a new person to her especially if she is focused now more on recruiting people into her new company.

Ben,
I agree and will no longer refer people to her. Remember the more you step on people on the way up the hard and longer you fall on the way down. The more you bad mouth the competition (even if it is true)the smaller you look.
One more thing “Great minds discuss ideas. Average minds discuss events. Small minds discuss people(or Companies)

So enough said let get moving and change lives

It is a bit off the mark to get people to refer their contact
list, so that they might hope to learn something only to turn
around and market her company, whilst slagging others down.
Tell her to go get a squeeze page.

Hey Ben,

It’s really sad to see such a wonderful trainer with such incredible credentials, turn to the dark side. One of the major teachings we have at Shaklee is to not criticize the competition. We always allow the person to do the research and decide for themselves. Using her recognized status to harm the reputation of other competitors is pretty low.
