Free eBook on marketing your MLM with Flyers

Today I want to share with you a strategy I used successfully when I was starting out in MLM.

You might have tried flyers and had poor results. There’s a reason for that. Most people that show you how to do flyers do it the wrong way. They do what I call reactive flyers. Reactive flyers are those flyers that are going to get a negative reaction from people. For example are you plastering a parking lot with flyers? YUCK!
Typical flyer marketing gets less than 1% response rate and half the responses you get are going to be negative. If you’re like me you don’t like that kind of marketing! I hate getting angry phone calls all the time. I prefer to work with people who actually WANT information from me. So how do you do that?
Let’s start by looking at the typical flyer marketing. Your upline gives you a flyer he uses and tells you to go find some big parking lots in your area and pass out tons of flyers.
What happens when you blanket a parking lot with flyers?
- First of all you don’t get very many responses!
- Second the calls you do get are typically angry people who don’t want your trash on their car, or worse a business owner who is mad at all the trash in his parking lot.
- If you do get any calls it’s going to be less than 1 in 100 and probably less than 1 in 300!
So now you’re ready to give up on MLM because your upline told you this would work and you bought a bunch of fancy paper, printed up a bunch of flyers, spent a weekend going to the places like the Mall, and Wal-Mart to place flyers… and all you got was negative phone calls. This MLM thing must not work!
Well the problem is you passed out reactive flyers not proactive flyers!
A proactive flyer requires much less work. You get response rates of 10-30% so you don’t have to put out as many flyers, AND most of the time you put them in authorized places so you don’t get calls from angry people. You only get calls from people genuinely interested in your flyer.
This took me probably 6 months of doing flyers to begin to figure out. I went from sponsoring no one to sponsoring my first 3 people from flyers and more importantly getting a dozen or so customers. This is a strategy I highly recommend to anyone starting out. Why? When you start out you don’t have any money, that’s why you started a home business, right? AND you probably have some extra time you’re willing to put into your business. If you can use this strategy effectively and start to generate some money then you can pay some bills and ease your financial situation at home. Your spouse will be happier about your decision to start a business and you can begin to purchase some additional forms of advertising to grow your business even faster.

Wow… what a great PDF about using flyers to market ANY business, online or offline.
I just downloaded it a few minutes ago, took only a very quick look at it because I have to go to work, but I wanted to write you to encourage your readers to give “the old fashioned way” a try… flyers definitely work!
I have absolutely no hesitation walking up to a total stranger on the street, at home or a business and asking…
“I was wondering, would it be ok to leave this advetising sheet with you?”
Why? Because everybody already is familiar with advetising.
Plus, I am not selling them anything… I’m just advertising… and, absolutely everybody just wants to be kind so they say, “OK”.
The question works 100% of the time.
I walk up to the private residence, knock on the door and “hand” it to the person who answers the door and ask…
“I was wondering, would it be ok to leave this advetising sheet with you?”
I walk into the small retail business, such as an auto parts store or a flower shop, walk up to the counter, ask for the owner or manager and ask…
“I was wondering, would it be ok to leave this advetising sheet with you?”
I walk into a small service business office, such as a medical office or a real estate office that has a receptionist, and ask…
“I was wondering, would it be ok to leave this advetising sheet with you?”
I love it when there are at least 3 or 4 people visible when I walk in because I know one flyer will multiply my efforts.
Depending on what I am promoting, I prefer to hand the “advertising sheet” to a living, breating, thinking human being who will say “OK” because that is the first “YES” that I am waiting for.
I especially like single family residences or apartments because usually the person has time to talk.
After I get the first “YES”, I let the flyer do the talking while I stand there silently.
As soon as the homeowner looks up, I ask another non-agressive question to get another “YES”.
And, depending on their body language and whether or not they are busy, I do only “a little bit of selling” about the product, service, opportunity, etc.
If I get the impression because of their body language that they are not responsive to “a little bit of selling” (they may be busy in the office or the children are unruly), I then say “Thank You”, turn around and walk away…
The potential prospect is happy that I did not take too much of their time and I am happy that they said “OK”, the first “YES” I always try to get for my advertising effort.
The flyer will get the next “YES” to go to my web site sales page… where the “selling” continues.
After reading your pdf, “Secret Strategies for Effective Flyer Marketing“, I am sure that I will learn even more… there are so many ways to advertise with flyers.
Alex Mendosian is a master marketer who is also keen on the idea of sending cards in the mail… the “old fasioned way” with snail mail still works.
