Network Marketing – Is it arrogant to have a private team training area?
Hi everyone,
Here’s a thought provoking question for you guys.
Is it wrong to have a private web site or discussion board to share training materials with your network marketing team? Should we as network marketers make all of our training available to the general public?
I’m curious what you think. Leave me a comment and let me know if you think it is a good idea or a bad idea and why.

It depends on what you mean by “private”. If it’s for distributors only, and not for viewing by the general public, I think there can be value in that … more honest and open questions, no temptation for people to sugar coat their problems to put on a good face for potential recruits.
That being said, if you’re talking about team specific training sites that also exclude other distributors from the company (who may not be in the same line), I HATE the idea. That’s been happening more and more in my company lately. I’m distributor #22, and from the very beginning any training we did, all of our message boards, etc, were open to any distributor.
A couple of weeks ago, I found a website who’s domain name indicated it was a training site for our company. It requested my name and distributor ID # to enter. A couple of hours later, I got an email saying that I didn’t qualify to enter the site.
Bad Karma … that’s all I can really say.

Heck no! Giving out all your information for free would be like a corporation giving out their trade secrets to the competition.
If someone’s spend time and money figuring out a better way to find leads, it’s not at all arrogant for them to keep it to themselves and their team.
