Profile Ads
I’ve been meaning to write about Profile Ads for awhile now. My friend Dan came up with the idea for this site. It allows you to place advertisements within the profile of your instant messenger program. Simple right?
You select the advertisers and you put the ad in your profile or in your away from the keyboard message, etc. When your friends see the ad and click on the link you get paid. You get paid for each click. The cool part is it isn’t about how many ads you have, its about how many people you communicate with regularly. If you have 500 friends in your address book and you chat a lot, then a lot of people will see the ads and click the links.
Dan is an entrenprenuerial student I met at Babson and he has lots of good business ideas. This one stood out for me because it is a project that is primarily targeted to young people ages 18-25. I know a lot of people that promote web sites for that age group. I thought perhaps some of you might be interested in advertising with Dan.
