The latest in my saga of “scam” phone calls.
I dunno if it’s a scam. That’s probably a bad word for it…
But someone contacted me through this blog to try and sell me the latest greatest “sales contact management software”. He started pitching me that Ann Sieg uses the software and recommends it and so do many other SOC distributors.
First of all I am in SOC. We have a basic contact manager built right into the system and I should be working with the company to make that one better NOT buy another piece of software to push on my team.
Second, I don’t like what Ann Sieg does. She sells her people EVERYTHING. She has an affiliate program for everything, tries to pitch them on internet marketing deals (Mike Filsaime’s crap), web sites (Site Build It), etc. As I said earlier this week I believe you should be making more money from selling your product and helping your team than selling tools to your team!
I let him know that I wasn’t interested and that my personal philosophy is not to try and sell software and tools to my team. I let him know that no matter how good his software was I wasn’t interested.
Then the guy still sent me an email claiming he wasn’t trying to sell me anything… UHM, then what’s the point? Are you going to give the software free to me and my 4600 member downline? I don’t think so!
I think I want to get a phone screener just to screen out these people! I wonder if there is a way to have a virtual assistant screen my calls and transfer them to me. Anyone know of any tools for that?

@Danie –
Danie, how does caller id help you?
If you don’t answer calls from numbers you don’t recognize then you’re missing calls from prospects! I get calls all the time from prospects who find me online and are seeking me out. If you always avoid calls you don’t recognize you’re loosing money!
