Kim Klaver wrote about me today
Since Kim Klaver decided to write about me today… (see her post here) I thought I’d give you guys a little update.
In the past I’ve accused Kim of changing over from being a “generic” trainer to being someone who is running her own company and recruiting for her company through her “generic” training.
I understand her belief in the product is great. That has nothing to do with what my problem with her is.
My problem with her in the past was that she built a list based on generic training products like the Truth Book… What it really takes to succeed in Network Marketing.
My issue with that is very simple. She violated trust with people like me who sent people to her generic training materials. We promoted her stuff on the idea that she was generic and wouldn’t try and cross recruit our teams. However she did start cross recruiting our teams and that was a big violation of our trust.
I think since my original post I understand where she’s coming from even more. I was trying to decide whether or not I should continue this “blog” (see original post here and Kim’s response here).
You see when you’re trying to do generic training and you have a business you are passionate about and committed to how can you do both without one rubbing off? That’s where I think she’s coming from now. She’s very committed about her new venture and it is mixing with her other training materials.
So if you’re afraid your people will jump ship, don’t send them to Kim. However if you think Kim’s got some great material to share (like the truth book) then continue to send your people her way.
I’m doing a little bit more cross promotion now too. So I’m certainly not going to sit her and claim that Kim is doing anything wrong.

There is a fine line, there is no doubt, and there are lots of trainers who don’t cross that line.
Tim Sales is a great generic trainer and a business builder at the same time. That has never stopped me from sending people his way or using his tools.
If people are going to jump ship (and they do) they are going to jump sonner or later. And, often, it won’t be long until they jump again.
Offer value in your partnership; your coaching; and assist them in seeing the vision you have for the future. Most will stick around.
EXPECT Success!

@Jackie Ulmer – BTW Jackie,
I see you live in Lake Arrowhead. BEAUTIFUL. I love that part of the San Andreas mountains. Big Bear, Lake Arrowhead, Crestline, etc.
You know back in 1989-1990 or so I had a skateboard shop in Highland California. I also went to my first year of college at Cal State San Bernardino. I used it kind of like people would use a junior college to get my grades up and transfer somewhere else.
