What is duplication in MLM?
Over the past couple of weeks I have been thinking about duplication in our MLM enterprise. One of the things that constantly comes up is just keeping things simple.
- The simpler the better.
- The simpler it is the easier it is to duplicate.
- The simpler it is the less fear a new distributor has in doing it.
- The simpler it is the more likely they will be to take action immediately.
With that in mind I’m taking an introspective look at my own business.
I know how to do some pretty kick butt internet marketing. I wrote a book on how I got one of the top rankings for my company name and several other keywords related to my business. I think I’ve boiled it down to a pretty easy method for people to duplicate what I do… BUT I also thinks its reasonable to assume that not everyone on my team can duplicate this. Some of them aren’t computer techy at all. Some don’t have time to learn/do what I teach. Others might not want to. They might prefer working face to face.
Can enough people duplicate what I do to make it worthwhile?
So that’s my question. With things like my blogs, can enough people do it to make it worthwhile? Should I focus more on simpler activites that more people on my team can duplicate? Is there anything wrong with doing the activites that are super effective but maybe less people can duplicate?
What do you think?

Hi Sir,
SIMPLICITY
You are so right and it is after my heart as I am basically a teacher. In my Math lessons I strove to do just that and sprinkled stories around all the time. That did the trick.
So with my website squidoo.com/sapphire_paul Just read my story of Lisa and enjoy it.
Congrats on the excellent article on your blog.

Hey Ben,
I’m sorry for your family’s loss, but I’m glad it’s become an inspiration for her students and for your wife.
You have a great blog here, and congrats on being #1 on Google under the query “home business blogs”
See you at the Better Networker!

Hi Benjamin,
This is indeed the $64,000 question…duplication. In fact, as a retired teacher,I, too, have felt the need to design a simple “curriculum” guide that would level the playing field for a democratic” home business that everybody can duplicate. I’ll check out your book.
Ben,
First of all thank you for your blog. It’s been a real inspiration to me when I formed mine. I look to it often. Also, thanks for the training call you did for MFF on blogging.
Duplication is a HOT button for me. In my limited experience I’ve seen some real heavy recruiters that struggled with people being able to get the results that they got. This will stop true residual income and I think that many resort to just being affiliate marketers and give up on the hope of true retirement.
I’ve stopped doing things that I don’t believe are duplicable for the team. My marketing budget went from $250 per month down to $30. If I can’t build it on a limited budget then don’t build it because the “average” person needs to be able to do it right?
I vote simple.
Thanks again,
Nick Davis
That’s why the big players always have a simple system in place for better duplication.
I think that you are on the right track, you just need to find the right combination.
