HDTV Affiliate
Well my latest internet marketing project is coming along.
I created an HDTV Blog using Drupal as the blog software. One of the primary reasons why I decided to use Drupal is because of their glossary. The glossary feature allows me to create an HDTV glossary which explains all the technical jargon associated with High Definition Television. Now when I write a blog entry and I use a technical term like 720p it will automatically link that term to the glossary entry! Thats a pretty cool feature and I expect it is going to make my blog really popular.
One of the ways I am monetizing the site using Dish Pronto. Dish Pronto is an satellite tv and HDTV Affiliate. If you didn’t know Dish Network is the best HDTV affiliate program to promote because they offer more HDTV channels than any other network. They also are one of the few HDTV affiliate to offer a HDTV receiver that includes a digital video recorder (DVR). The DVR records your movies like a Tivo. What is so cool about this particular HDTV DVR is that it is not only an HDTV receiver but it can record up to 25 hours of HDTV movies and 180 hours of regular movies and tv shows. Dish Pronto HDTV Affiliate allows me to make up to $110 per sale. That is another reason why they are a favorite HDTV affiliate of mine.
As usual I’m also using Google AdSense and Chitika to monetize the site as well. As a matter of fact it looks like the PPC rate for HDTV terms is pretty darn good. I think this site is going to be a pretty good money maker! Check out how I’m placing a Google AdSense ad right at the beginning of each blog entry. I’m testing this to see if this generates a higher click through rate. I’ll write more about that in a future AdSense Tip.
