Getting More Web Traffic – Guaranteed Search Engine Placement
One of the most popular topics requested by our readers in our poll is “How do I get more traffic for my web site?“.
I want to talk about guaranteed search engine placement. You’ve seen the ads right? Companies claiming to give you guaranteed search engine results. I want to warn you that usually this is a gimmick. It is pretty hard to guarantee top search engine placement, and if it can be done, it isn’t going to be done cheap!
Don’t get me wrong, it can be done. My buddy Jack and his company are pretty darn good at getting top rankings, getting excellent results from PPC ads, etc. However they charge a premium for their service.
So if you see an ad from someone saying they can get you guaranteed rankings for $99, $500, or even $1,000 I’d question their legitimacy.
That is until now.
A new company has developed a twist on the guaranteed search engine rankings system. They are building a new search engine and you can purchase keywords now, and guarantee your rankings. It is not Pay Per Click (PPC) you pay a monthly fee and you get your ads (up to 100 keywords) for only $50.
I was still skeptical! I can’t recommend this kind of service to my friends without getting all the details right? So I started to do some research.
First of all their web site is fairly popular. According to Alexa their ranking is the 19,896 most trafficed site on the net.
Second of all my friend Diane knows one of the head programmers and spent a bunch of time on the phone chatting with him. She’s someone who likes to do her due diligence before recommending a service. She talked with them and was even going to be calling to talk to one of the owners. Diane is someone I trust. So if Diane liked them, it was worth looking into myself.
So I watched their video.
Then it clicked for me. The first few sections of the video didn’t matter to me. They were about the internet and how search engines make so much money. What mattered to me was when they started to talk about how to get additional ads on lots of other people’s sites.
This is how the system works.
You join Search Estate.
You get your own link to their search engine.
You get HTML code you can put on your web sites that includes your search box.
They also have web browser toolbars just like Google does. You can search right from within your web browser.
Ok, big deal Ben. Why do I care about that? Why should I send traffic to them instead of sending traffic to a PPC search engine like 7search?
Well here is why. FOR FREE, you get one ad in their search engine. Its called an ad billboard. It is a text ad just like Google AdSense. Your billboard is good for 5 keyword terms. It won’t cost you anything. When someone searches for one of those 5 keywords your ad will show up. Thats pretty cool right? All you have to do is sign up for free and own these 5 keywords.
Well that is just the beginning. You refer someone else to the service. They get their own search engine and their own codes for their web sites. BUT you still own your 5 keywords on their site too.
You keep referring others, they put the search box on their web sites. And they help you promote your business!
Now lets take it one step further. Search Estate offers a pro membership. Pro Members get 20 ad billboards. Each one of those is good for 5 keywords. So that means you get 100 keywords on their search engine for free. Plus when you refer people and they get their search engines you’ll get your 100 keywords on all their sites too!
Now, this could suck. Maybe they can’t do what they say they can. Right now they admit that the system is in beta test and that there may be bugs, but for me I felt it was worth the risk to try it out. At the very least everyone reading this blog should get your free search estate membership and put their search box on your web site. If you are like me and you realize the potential this could be… could you imagine if you OWNED 100 keywords on Google and you never had to pay more than $50 a month no matter how many clicks you got on your keyword? To me that risk is worth $50. I’m going to give these guys 6 months. Thats only $300. Heck I spend more than that in keywords on Google every month! If this thing works at all, it will easily pay for my $300 investment.
So check it out.
Oh, and you can also make some money by referring pro members to Search Estate. However that is NOT why I am doing this. I’m doing this to get my ads on as many other people’s search estate search engines. I want to own my 100 keywords on everyone’s sites. I know that could lead to a TON of business for me.
