Getting More Traffic to your Web Site through AutoSurf programs

NOTE: I used the wrong terminology in this message. These programs are manual surf traffic exchanges. They are legimitate ways to get traffic. Autosurfs are a scam. They are not legitimate. Please see my recent post on the topic of autosurfs.

Yesterday we started our series of How to get more traffic to your web site.

I think the article ended up being a lot longer than I hoped so here is the abbreviated version:

Search Estate is offering you a free ad on their new search engine. You get to select 5 keywords for your ad. You should act on this now while they are still in beta test. If you refer other people, your ad and your 5 keywords will also appear on their Search Estate site, and anyone they refer!

Today I’m going to start talking to you about autosurf programs.

Ben, What the heck is an autosurf program?

The basic idea is this. You surf other people’s web sites. Every time you surf their site someone else visits your site. So for every site you visit, someone else will visit your site.

The autosurf programs work like this: To prevent fraud they require you to surf on the person’s web site for 20-30 seconds. They have a timer that counts down how much time is left that you have to stay on the site. This is a good thing because it forces people to slow down and read your web site. When the timer gets to zero you can click through to another site.

I’ve been using Traffic G and Traffic Swarm for my autosurfing.

Traffic G uses a fraud prevention system where you have to click on a specific image to advance to the next web site. If you click the wrong image you don’t get credit for the visit. Here is an example:

Traffic Swarm uses a slightly different method. They allow you to surf and you’ll see 8 ads for different web sites. For each site you click you’ll get credit.

Both programs also offer other services. I’ll go into more detail on these services in coming articles.

When you begin autosurfing you’ll want to think carefully about what web sites you want to promote. Think about it this way. What type of people are using autosurf programs?

People who want traffic to their web site
People who have a business already
People who want to make more money in their business

So I wouldn’t use an autosurf program to get traffic to my HDTV site. People aren’t going to use an autosurf program to find information about High Definition television!

Instead I’d want to promote a site like Home Business Blogs that teaches people how to get more traffic for their web site. For awhile I used to promote discount toll-free numbers where people could get a toll-free number for their business for only $2.00. Or you can use the autosurf programs to promote an ebook on how to get more traffic to your business, promote other autosurf programs, promote banner exchanges, or maybe you want to promote something like the 5 free keywords you get at Search Estate.

Think this tip was cool? Let me know!

Tomorrow I’m going to show you how to get more traffic to your web site while your autosurfing, or surfing ANY web site.

- Ben
