Today is “Labor Day” are you taking break or working your business?

Dear readers,

Today in the United States we have a holiday called “Labor Day”.

The idea of Labor Day was that the American worker should be rewarded for the hard work. It was started by the labor unions as a way to provide a holiday/reward for the American workers.

Ok great. We have a holiday. But do you let things like “holidays” stop you from working your business?

I’m hosting a special training webinar tonight for my team and a few people replied back that this was a holiday and wasn’t I aware that it was a holiday? Someone even dared to call it a “major holiday”. Really? Major Holiday? Like Christmas? or Thanksgiving? or Easter?

Come on. Are you serious about building a business or not?

I’m not only hosting a webinar today but I’m putting in at least a full 8 hour work day today to make sure this webinar is successful.

It is very simple. You have to take action to make your business a success. You can make excuses but making excuses won’t make you any money.

I make my business a priority. That means that at times I have to make sacrifices. I might have to actually host a webinar on a minor holiday like Labor Day. Sometimes I host a webinar from a friend’s house or even hop on a teleseminar from the front doorstep of a restaurant.

Do you make your business a priority? Do you make a commitment to your business or do you allow little things to come up and hold you back?

Hi Ben;
Enjoying your emails and YES, for those of us who are passionate about being in CONTROL, we can decide when we want to work…but there is a price to pay for that freedom…
Keep up the great work

I work online and I often forget the days & dates. So there’s no question of remembering the date of holiday. But yeah I do take break from my work when I feel very much tired.

But I feel labor should get day off on labor day as it’s celebrated in largest part.

That’s just my opinion.
