Internet Marketing Tip - How to build a successful web site

Today I’m going to give a tip on internet marketing. Every home business owner should have a web site and should be marketing their web site. Today there is absolutely no excuse for not having a web site.

If you don’t think you know enough to create your own web site here are a couple of tips for you. Any recent version of Microsoft Office inludes a web page editor. It’s called Microsoft Word. Crazy right? However it does work. All you have to do is “Save as Web Page”. It might not be the prettiest site and you’d still need to know how to ftp that web page to your web host.

A better alternative is my friend Eric’s WebMax Studio - web site builder. Eric runs a professional web hosting company and domain name registration site. WebMax provides you with over 1,100 templates to choose from and 1,800 stock photos for your web site. Once you’ve selected the layout and template you simply have to add some text to your pages. The best part is you can try it out for free for 10 days before deciding to purchase it. This allows you to actually make a site, before you have to pay for it. If for any reason you are unhappy you can cancel the service within 10 days at no charge. Eric has been working on some other advanced features most of you would need to hire a programmer for. He has built in ebay integration, shopping carts, calendar, coupons, mailing lists, autoresponders, email forms, and secure authentication.

Long time no write!

Sorry guys!

I haven’t written for about a month now!

I canceled our TypePad account and moved us over to our own server. I setup wordpress which has so far been a really cool and simple to use Blog publishing tool.

I am not making excuses here. I take responsibility for not writing, and to be honest, writing a blog isn’t one of my top priorities in building my business! LOL.

Business has been really busy. Our company made a ton of important changes. They changed the compensation plan and that has required them to update all their backoffice database and accounting systems. It has been quite an action packed month at the home office.

In addition to that our team has our infomercial coming up in early July. We’ve been training people and getting them positioned to take advantage of the infomercial.

We’ve also been building Massive Action. Results so far from Massive Action have been mixed. I think largely due to my own example. I haven’t been setting as much of an example as I like. I haven’t been out there demoing my business and gathering customers as much as I want to.

We’ve had some successes. One of our team members sponsored her first new distributor ever. She has been plugging away at it for several months and has gotten 5 customers so far, but this was her first ever distributor. She says the momentum and encouragement she got from our Massive Action group is what has helped her break through. Now she has several more prospects interested in joining her.

That is a wonderful success story and I am so proud of her. Her name is Gail and she is going to be an awesome leader. Her persistance is paying off. Heck I was involved in network marketing for over a year before I ever sponsored my first distributor. Gail is already ahead of the game.

I’m also putting together a big training event in my area and promoting it.

At the same time I’m bringing in National Trainers, Success Coaches, and Personal Development Mentors to speak to our team.

So we’ve been VERY busy!

You see how easy it is to get busy working on your business but not actually doing income producing activities? I can spend 20 hours a week easily just keeping up with these activities. However I need to stay focused on gathering new customers and finding new leaders to join our team. I have to make that a priority. That is the most important task if I want to grow a successful long term business.

I’ll keep in touch more often!
