I haven’t been writing much lately because I’m refocusing my business efforts. I’m putting all of my effort into my network marketing business, Send Out Cards. I’m focusing less on traditional internet marketing and figuring out more ways I can focus my marketing efforts so that my sales funnel all leads toward Send Out Cards.

In the next few weeks I’m going to reorganize this blog and move the content on internet marketing. I’ll begin writing more and more about network marketing. These articles will be similar to the type of content that I write for The Network Marketing Magazine.

Speaking of the Network Marketing Magazine, my next article will be out in the October issue. In it I discuss why network marketers should not use Pay Per Click advertising. It’s been a controversial topic. Recently at the Richdad forum I’ve had a lot of feedback telling me I’m crazy. However I’m pretty clear in outlining why PPC is bad and how you can do it effectively if you insist on using it as a marketing method.

Also on the topic of focus… I’ve been not only focusing my efforts more on network marketing but also focusing specifically on Send Out Cards. I’ve sold my Bookwise business and have quit doing anything with Cognigen. Cognigen shares are down to 4 cents a share and I probably can’t say what I think is going to happen for fear of a lawsuit. However things don’t look good for Cognigen so I am definitely NOT focusing efforts there.

The greeting card business does 60% of their entire business in the winter as more people send holiday cards, companies send cards, etc. So now is a great time to focus on the custom greeting card business.

Once upon a time I was new to network marketing. I had just been laid off for the 3rd time and I took a job that I hated for a $10,000 pay cut. We moved to a place we thought would make us happier and my wife took a pay cut and a new job too. Our situation was not very good! We went from living like kings to barely making enough to pay our mortgage and our bills.

That is when I re-discovered network marketing. When I got started in MLM I was so desperate I’d try anything. My dad had told me about cheap marketing methods like flyers when I was doing another business in my early 20s. So I set out trying to figure out how to successfully market my business using flyers.

The good thing about flyers was it didn’t take a lot of money. You could print them out on your home computer. Or you could print out a master flyer and take it to an office supply store and run off a bunch of copies.

The bad thing about flyers were they sucked. LOL. It took a lot of passing out flyers to get any phone calls and half the time the phone calls you got were from people who were mad at you. That certainly isn’t the kind of marketing method that most people are going to be able to do. Only desperate people like me would put up with it.

This desperation led to a breakthrough. The average flyer has a response rate of LESS than ONE PERCENT! That’s horrible! You could go to a big parking lot and pass out 500 flyers and you’d be LUCKY to get even 5 calls back. In reality you’ll probably get one or two.

One day I was trying some stuff. I got inspired and came up with a new type of flyer. I call them “proactive” flyers instead of “reactive” flyers like the ones I put in the parking lot. Guess what? I started getting calls! I didn’t have to put out as many flyers and I got A LOT more calls! In fact I got better than 15% response rate!

Recently I sat down and wrote out a training method to explain not only how I got a 15% response rate but how you can get a 15% response rate from your flyer distribution system. I outline my entire system step by step. I tell you where to place the flyers. I even give you sample flyers that you can simply edit for yourself.

I’m pretty proud of this. You see flyers are something 95% of the people in your network marketing business can do. It’s a way that everyone can get started, get a few customers, and sponsor their first distributors. That way when they have more money than can do other types of dirt cheap advertising.
