Network Marketing & MLM Training by Home Business Blogs

Would you like a #1 Google ranking?

This is too funny. I’m getting ready to fly to Puerto Rico tomorrow for my cruise but I just had to share this new with you….

Would you like a #1 Google Ranking?

Go to Google right now and type in the term “Wowzza”.

wowzza #1 ranking

Who is #1? Me. This little old blog is #1 for the term Wowzza.

This is too funny! The COMPANY web site is only #2. I’m outranking the actual company called Wowzza for their own name!

Wowzza the company has obviously been around longer. I only put my blog post up on April 7. Today is the 26th so in 19 days I’ve been able to go from oblivion to #1. In fact I was able to get to #6 for the term in only 5 days and over the past 2 weeks have climbed to the top.

So how do you do it? Well this is the kind of thing I reveal in Nichework Marketing. It’s one reason why having a blog is so important because you can get blogs to #1!

Would you like to be able to write 1 blog post, spend a little bit of time marketing that post, and get it to #1 in the search engines in less than 3 weeks?

Now let me state… Wowzza is brand new. There are only 54,500 web pages that use the word Wowzza in Google. Yet I’m already #1 out of 54,500.

It isn’t hard if you can put together a blog. This blog has a page rank of 4 and an Alexa rating of 288,612. So it’s not the most powerful site in the world. A top Google page rank is 10 for example. So right now I’m only 4 out of 10.

However if you follow a few simple principles you can really make it pay off.

Keep in mind I’m not doing wowzza as a business. However if I was do you think these stats would help:

In just 16 days:

216 people found this blog searching for “wowzza”
27 found it by typing “wowzza scam”
4 found it with “is wowzza a scam”

That’s what…. 245 who found this blog from Google in 16 days, that’s about 15 people a day finding this blog searching for that term.

Can you imagine if you applied those techniques to your company? Can you imagine 15 people a day finding your web site by doing searches for your company? Can you imagine how many of those you might be able to convert into prospects?

Keep in mind this is all from ONE BLOG POST! I just spent a couple of hours. I wrote the post then I marketed it a bit. I sent it out to my list for them to read. I submitted it to some social networks. That’s it. After that I forgot about it.

Matter of fact I was wondering why it was still attracting so many comments from Wowzza fanatics. Well now I know. It’s because my blog post has now outranked the company web site!

Funny!

Well this is the kind of strategy I explain in my ebook Nichework Marketing. The book is only $19.95. I think it’s well worth the read, especially when you see the kind of results I can achieve with it!

Check out Nichework Marketing. It really is a step by step guide to finding your own niche and generating your own network marketing leads!

The MYTH – Building Several MLM Companies at once

Stop SignI have recently see a lot of network marketers making a big mistake.

They are trying to build multiple streams of income in multiple companies.

Usually the person making this mistake is a novice. That’s why they try multiple companies. They aren’t making enough money so they keep trying something new. Or perhaps they are making a little bit of money in one company so they thing they can go out and start something new.

It’s ok to be a novice and be looking around trying to find what’s right.  I understand it.  I did it a bit myself.

However let’s look at it from the point of view of someone who has had a little success and has started to build a successful business.

Let’s say you’ve sponsored 10-20 people.   You’ve started to build a small group.  Maybe you have 100 people in your organization.  You probably got one or two promotions in your company already. You’re probably earning more money. You’re probably making higher commissions and bonuses now because of your promotions.

So now you hear about something like Wowzza. You decide that it’s something you can do in conjunction with your current company.  It’s not a direct competitor so you think that you could offer this to your downline and get 10 or 20 or more to join you in this new deal. Plus if it works like you hope you can get some new leads, right?

Well let’s look at it from a different point of view.

Let’s say you put 20 extra hours into your current company. You’ve already gotten a couple of promotions so you’re getting paid more on each hour of effort.  Anyone you sponsor is going to pay you better and you just might find that next leader that takes you from 100 people to 1000 people in your organization.

On the other hand let’s say you spend 20 hours promoting Wowzza.  In addition you share it with your team and 20 of them spend 5 hours promoting Wowzza.

That’s 120 hours of time wasted on Wowzza.  20 of your time and 5 * 20 for your downline that follows you to Wowzza.

PLUS since you’re just starting out with Wowzza you have no promotions or anything so you’re making the minimum amount of money.

Meanwhile if you had that 120 hours back and you and your team put that effort and energy into your main company… you’ve already gotten a promotion so you’re making more money…PLUS your group is growing.  Wowzza isn’t growing it’s just you telling your existing group about it and them all joining the new “deal” with you.  You aren’t neccessarily growing your business.  Eventually it will grow but you gotta start everything with this new business… put out new ads… develop new lead generation… etc.  That takes time.

Do you see how dangerous the attitude of dabbling in multiple programs can be?

Imagine if you’re like me and you have a downline of thousands… If you dabble in another program it isn’t just 120 hours wasted… Its multipled by the hundreds of people in my organization that would put energy into Wowzza that could be spent growing our main business.  It’s a horrible drain on your business and people who do this over and over and just forcing their business to be stuck and aren’t really able to experience the exponential growth that can occur by focusing on one thing at a time.

What do you think?  Am I crazy?  Does the math make sense?  Sound off and let me know how you feel!

- Ben Fitts

PS. Do you know ANYONE who makes $10,000 a month in TWO or more companies? I do NOT.  I have yet to find anyone making that kind of money in more than one company at a time.

Which is better a specialist or a generalist?

Which do you feel is better? A specialist or a generalist?

If you’re sick you first go to a generalist. You go to your general doctor right?

BUT if you’re REALLY sick you don’t go to your general practitioner. You go to a specialist. You find someone who only works with your illness.

When I had throat problems I sought out a Ear Nose and Throat specialist. NO I can’t spell what they really call themselves it’s ontorologist or something? LOL. I’ll never be able to spell that right!

The point is you seek out a specialist right?

And specialists are paid better right?

In your online business would you like to be thought of as a specialist or as a generalist?

Can I tell you a secret, GOOGLE likes specialists too! Google gives specialists preferential treatment and lists them higher in the search engines than generalists!

If you want to be a specialist then you need to pick up my new ebook.

It teaches you how to find your niche and make yourself look like an expert and it even includes about 40 or so ideas for niches to help you get started.

Most of the fast mover bonuses are gone, but if you get there quick you can still qualify for some extra bonuses… Inlcuding 15 minutes of free consulting to help you find your niche. I hope you like it!

I hope we can help you find your niche so you can be a specialist!

Nichework Marketing – Launches Tomorrow! (April 14, 2008)

Niche Network Marketing launches tomorrow!

Check out this testimonial.

You are at a disadvantage if you don’t have this ebook, and you’re
competing against other MLMers who do. They are much more likely to
stay focused on the right track. Ben explains exactly how to quickly &
easily set up an effective website, even if you have zero tech savvy,
how to get content for that site, and how to market your site. You get
it all, from soup to nuts.

I’m pretty stoked.  All the testimonials have been great.  One guy I approached about being a partner for the book said the book was so good he would not only promote it but he’d consider buying his own copy.  That’s pretty cool considering I’d already showed him a “draft” version of the book!

Stay tuned tomorrow morning for more information on the launch of Nichework Marketing!

Jim says I’m full of crap…

My post about Wowzza stirred people up. A lot of people are coming here just to tell me I don’t know what I’m talking about. Like this guy:

Jim Says:

Ben,

I think you are full of crap not wowzza

I am sure you are very successful -not- you would not be saying these things if you were.

Jim, I’m full time working from home and have been since July 2007. How about you?

Number 2 in Send Out CardsJim, I was #2 last month in my company (for sponsoring the most people) out of over 40,000 distributors. And this is a PAY company not a freebie!

Jim, I’m currently ranked about #21 or so in the quarterly contest in my company and the #36 money earner. This is all public record stuff. Anyone in my company can see my name at the top of the list on the company web site. The company newsletter which is going out with the paychecks will have all this info in there.

I’m talking about thousands of dollars here not hundreds. I don’t have to do a dozen companies to make my monthly mortgage payment. I make that from one single check from one company.

I know it’s hard for some of you to understand. If you haven’t made a dime online or if you haven’t made more than a few hundred bucks, Wowzza probably looks like a great deal. However for those of us that have been around the block we know Wowzza won’t survive. It’ll become like Direct Matches… You’ll barely here about it 6 months or a year from now. Attrition will kill it.

To those of you that emailed me and said thank you. I appreciate all of your comments and emails. When I get attacked for trying to help people it really bothers me. It frustrates me that people think I have some sort of trick up my sleeve. There was no agenda. I didn’t hide a link to Wowzza. I never have signed up for Wowzza and I never will.

I did however want to warn my readers and a few people on my team so they don’t get distracted by the latest greatest fad.

Those of you who really want to know how to make money online… That’s what I’m here for.

Wowzza is mlm crap and everyone knows it!

I have to get this off my chest.

I’m sure you’ve been inundated over the past week with emails announcing the latest greatest thing. Wowzza.

Wowzza is supposed to be a social network for professionals. They call it “professional social networking”. Imagine facebook with a paid membership program and mlm component.

Lot’s of people are telling stories about how much money they’ve made, how big their downline’s gotten etc.

Here is the truth.

wowzza Wowzza is mlm crap and everyone knows it!1. Wowzza is supposed to provide you qualified leads for your business opportunity because many people who joined paid to upgrade their membership. These are supposed to be qualified people for your opportunity because they’ve already paid $32.95 to join wowzza.

The problem is that most of these people are already IN an opportunity. They aren’t looking to join you. They bought into the same lie and joined Wowzza to target other networkers. They’re going to spam out their opportunity to everyone on Wowzza. So Wowzza is going to be full of spam.

2. Wowzza has an income opportunity and powerline builder where people are notified of all the prospects in their downline and all the people upgrading. The effect? Lots of people are supposed to upgrade because of the fear of loss. The fear of the lost income forces them to upgrade.

The reality? This leads to tons and tons of email spam and upset users. Some of the novices in your downline will join the program but the others that aren’t real technical won’t get it. They’ll just get upset at all the email.

3. The income opportunity here is good so you can supplement your existing business with this new revenue stream.

Yes you can make money in this. I have some big email lists (10,000+) and big downline (4,000+). I could spam this out and if 1% joined I’d have 140 in my downline. That’d be a nice income stream, right?

WRONG. Yes I might make some income but I’d hurt my reputation. People will get burned by Wowzza and I’d be the one who recommended them. All these powerline builders are crap. I joined ProBuilderPlus and ProWealthSuccess. Yes I made some money in them but I realized it was really a big fat scam. There weren’t any real products and the whole thing was basically a pyramid scheme. Ever notice you NEVER hear about these companies any more? You hear a big splash when they are first announced and then they die off when people begin to get tired of them. They don’t really have a real opportunity. They don’t have a real product. They are just pyramid’s focused only on the opportunity and not at all on the product. That’s why they don’t last.

And don’t forget if you promote this to your downline it is going to confuse them. Instead of building your primary opportunity they’re going to start promoting this thing. They’re going to waste time promoting this and potential prospects are going to say… “Woah, they must not be making enough money from their money company since they have to promote wowzza to make some extra income! Maybe I don’t want to join them after all.”

Even if they only take a few weeks to promote Wowzza before they give up that’s several weeks worth of momentum you’re going to loose and it may be several months before you and your downline recover from the lost momentum.

Joining Wowzza is going to hurt more than it is going to help.

I implore you all don’t waste time with Wowzza!

Nichework Marketing Status Update

Hi All,

Sorry I haven’t been blogging much this week.

I just finished the first draft of Nichework Marketing. I sent copies to a few close personal friends to get their feedback on it.  I’ve started to collect their comments and revise the book one step further.

The goal is to launch the ebook next week.

The training program should launch the following week.

I just setup the community site and the blog for Nichework Marketing and I hope to announce them to you next week as well.

One of the cool features of Nichework Marketing is a scholarship program. We’ll have a contest where 3 people can win  their way into the Nichework Marketing training program. (A $1200 value).

I also expect to have some special discounts for you guys (my loyal readers.)

So that’s what I’ve been up to this week.  How about you?
