Have you ever been burglarized?
Have you ever been burglarized?
I was listening to a motivational author the other day and he brought up a great point. Burglars steal temporary things. They steal TVs, Electronics, Computers, and Jewelry. They can sell them quickly and make a little money.
They won’t ever become truly wealthy this way.
What if instead a burglar stole your personal development library? What if they read those books on personal development and motivation? What if they improved their skillset so they could perform better in a job or start a business or invest wisely?
The poor will always remain poor, UNLESS they work to improve themselves.
Successful entrepreneurs know that constant self improvement is the key to success. They hire coaches. They have accountability partners. They set goals. They review their performance and constantly work to improve them.
Burglars are like the people in our business who are always looking for a shortcut. They’re always looking for a way to make a quick buck and are only focused on the now. They aren’t building for the future.
If you’re looking to develop yourself books like the Slight Edge, Think and Grow Rich, and Rich Dad Poor Dad are great starting points.
(BTW I was burglarized once. It is not a good feeling. However it is temporary and you learn you can replace all those “things”.)
