Dear readers,
I was listening to Eric Worre speak the other day and he said something along the lines of:
It doesn’t matter what works, it only matters what duplicates.
He used the example of someone who is really good at calling leads. He said this could be the worst thing that happens to your business. You could be good at it, and it could work really well for you, but will be very hard for others to duplicate.
He described how early on in his network marketing career he’d have trained “ninjas”. They were really good at advanced networking but the problem was he only had a few “ninjas”. He only had a few people on his team that were good enough to be able to become a “ninja”.
The other problem was because he had a few trained “ninjas” it was possible for some of them to die off. He only had a few and if he lost even one of his trained “ninjas” he’d lose a big chunk of his business. We all know we lose people to personal problems, life changes, sickness, other companies, etc.
In Eric’s view it doesn’t matter if something works well. It only matters if it is duplicable by a large number of people. You want a lot of people doing a few simple things.
For some people buying and calling leads works well, but it is hard to duplicate. For me I build niche web sites and get a lot of Google traffic. But guess what? It is hard to duplicate.
I’ve been sort of stuck for awhile with a team of around 6,000 people. (I know, a lot of you would like to have that problem, right?)
I think perhaps one of my issues is I lost focus on those simple things. I’m going back to basics. I’m going back to the simple things.
Let’s see if our team can break through that 6,000 member barrier.

PS. Eric Worre and I are both involved in Send Out Cards. Would you like to see why we think this business is the future of networking?
